FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is proud to release an extensive workshop agenda and schedule of events for the 2023 Texas Emergency Management Conference. The Conference takes place May 30-June 2 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth.

“This impressive selection of nearly 200 workshops gives attendees the opportunity to share best practices and network with emergency management professionals from across the country,” said Texas Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd. “This year, we are gathering some of the most innovative ideas and solutions in the emergency management field aimed at empowering practitioners to better serve our communities.”

The workshop schedule includes sessions ranging from emergency sheltering to crisis communications, and grants management to cutting-edge technology that aids first responders. The agenda includes panel discussions focused on emergency preparedness and debris management, as well as workshops on post-storm recovery and industry collaboration.

Workshops will be led by members of local, state, and federal government, as well as members of the private sector.

The Opening Session takes place Tuesday, May 30, at 1 pm and the Awards Luncheon takes place Thursday, June 1, at 12 pm. Both events take place in the Convention Center Arena. The exhibit hall hours are scheduled for Wednesday May 31 from 10 am – 4pm, and Thursday, June 1 from 8 am – 2 pm.
